Alien invasion may not be a concern for many but it seems that United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense (MoD) is taking it seriously based on recent revelations of their former adviser.
Former UFO adviser Nick Pope said that UK is capable to defend against extraterrestrial attack because of its sophisticated weaponry, according to MSN report. Pope claimed that UK has prototype drones and aircraft as well as advanced weapons that can be used to defend the world against alien invasion.
Pope, who worked for 21 years in MoD, said that UK could quickly adapt plans for other more recent war situations in case an alien attack would happen.
According to MSN, Pope played a big role in the program of British government to declassify and release the UFO files of MoD to the National Archives.
EFFICIENT AND FAST DEFENSE
Pope left his job at MoD in 2006 and he now resides in California. He travels around the world to conduct lectures and works with film and television firms to generate new ideas.
Pope is pretty sure that nations can put together their resources and set up defense efficiently and quickly in case alien attack would happen even if there is no special alien-hunting team.
How to defend and fight
Pope said that a good way to defend and fight alien invaders is to have unity of all nations in the world. He said that the late and former US President Ronald Reagan mentioned on his speech to the UN that differences among nations would quickly be fixed if humanity would face alien threat.
UFO SIGHTINGS INVESTIGATIONS
Pope said that he investigated 200-300 UFO sightings every year when he was still working in the UK government. He stated that one of the interesting things was the claims of people that they witnessed UFOs flying at great speeds and extraordinary maneuvers. He noted that those reported UFOs were way faster than military jets, so, the team which task to investigate UFO sightings wanted to know more about the extraterrestrials' technology. He added that during their investigations, they were interested to discover propulsion system.
When Pope was asked about the appearance of aliens, he answered that life is so vast and aliens may come in all sizes and shapes.
CYBORGS AND ROBOTS
Pope also said that dealing with artificial life such as robots and cyborgs is one of the things discussed at the Royal Society. He said that there are millions of civilizations in the universe and artificial life is a possibility.
