My latest "MYSTERIOUS UNIVERSE" article focuses on one of the biggest controversies within Ufology: the so-called Flying Triangles. Are they classified military craft or vehicles from somewhere else?
Many ufologists who suggest the FTs are ours maintain that's because they have only been seen for the last few decades - chiefly the 1980s onwards. But they're talking crap. If you go looking, you find numerous reports of FTs - "identical" to those seen today - dating back forty to fifty years ago.
And my new "MU" post focuses on one, perfect example. It starts like this:
"As many students of Ufology will be aware, the last couple of decades or so have seen a rise in reports of one particular type of UFO. It has become known as THE FLYING TRIANGLE. The FTs are triangular in shape and very often black in color, hence the name, of course! They often emit a low humming noise, and have a trio of lights on their underside. They usually have rounded corners too, rather than sharply angled edges. And, in some ways, they are not unlike the NORTHROP GRUMMAN B-2 SPIRIT (otherwise known as the Stealth Bomber) in design. This has, quite naturally, given rise to the possibility that the FTs are next-generation Stealth planes, rather than true UFOs. It's not an unreasonable assumption. But there's a problem with that scenario: the FTs are actually not new, or even recent, at all.
"While digging through a whole host of formerly classified files on UFOs at THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES AT KEW, England in 1996, I came across a one-page report dated 28 March 1965 that, I confess, I almost overlooked. On closer inspection, however, I realized that it was potentially one of the most important UFO-related documents that I had ever come across. According to the MoD paperwork, on the night in question a witness saw at approximately 9.30 p.m. over moor-land near Richmond, North Yorkshire, England:'Nine or ten objects - in close triangular formation each about 100ft long - orange illumination below - each triangular in shape with rounded corners, making low humming noise.'"

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE POLICE RECEIVED MORE THAN 80 REPORTS OF GHOSTS, WITCHCRAFT AND UFO SIGHTINGS IN THE LAST SIX YEARS.

Paul Stevenson, from Haunted Magazine based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, submitted the Freedom of Information request to the police which led to the disclosure of the figures.
He said he was "very surprised" by the amount the police had received.
Ch Insp Antill said there are calls which at first appear to be "serious incidents", like intruders in the property, but turn out "to be of the ghost nature."
"When we have started interviewing people they talked about relatives that had just died and [they said] it could have been the ghosts of these people."

* Why is it that, after the "Yeti" moves quickly through the snow from right to left, seeming to elude the research group as fast as it can, it suddenly stops its forward motion and casually turns to the right, not appearing to be in a hurry, almost as if it/he was waiting for further cinematic direction from those who were doing the videotaping?
* And why was only one footprint found, in an area that clearly could have produced many more?
This story is hot on the heels of two other Bigfoot tales we've reported on so far in January, including one that set off a huge controversy about a reported Skunk Apephotographed in Tampa, Florida.There was also the one about how the Arizona Department of Transportation posted an image on its Facebook page, purporting to show "a family of Sasquatches" standing in snow next to a highway on Jan. 1. That turned out to be a little joke played on the public by Arizona state transportation officials.We have a feeling 2015 hasn't seen the last of Bigfoot. My father passed about 6 years ago, my mother about 15 years prior to that.
He would not say too much, as I said, he was, or appeared scared or hesitant when it was brought up. The one time I was at the house, I answered the door, and two "suits" were there and asked for him. He came to the door, came back to me with concern, and asked to me to leave and come back in a couple of hours. I did, and asked who they were, and he said "government". When I pressed him, he put me in my place with a stern "none of your business".
Two times I was over at the house, once I answered the phone, and a voice asked for "Xxxx X Xxxxx", he went on the line, spoke nothing, but came back to the table very subdued. Once again, he told me to mind my own business. The other call I witnessed, was similar only he answered the call, and came to the front room the same way.
One time, after several beers, I once again asked him "Was there anything to the flying saucers at Roswell" (or something similar to that). He did not answer for a minute, and then looked up, and nodded his head, yes. I then asked were there any "little green men", and he looked at me, and held up three fingers. I asked him what could of became of them, and he said "Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx" When I pressed him, he said that he had said too much already, and went into the house.
My mother told me on a couple of occasions that he would have strange calls, and told her it was in reference to Roswell. In the months following 1947, he seemed to be more secretive.
I will look to see what I have. The last several years of his life, he became even more reclusive, and we did not speak much. I would like to know what you find out as to where he served, in what unit, etc. I remember that while at Xxxxxx Air Force base, he was in contact with a Colonel Xxxxx Xxxxxx (spelling might be wrong). We would go to the house and the two of them would be in behind closed doors quite a bit. I do not know if he had anything to do with Roswell, I just know that he did not have much to do with Officers, only him and he mentioned Major Marcel's name on occasion.
Let me know if you find out anything, I will talk with my sister, who is ten years older, to see if she remembers anything.

I thought you would like to know. I spoke to my sister last night about Roswell. It was the first time either of us have spoken much about it. She was born in 1938. She was 9 or 10 when the landing occurred. She remembers my dad coming home, covered with soot, or dirt, wild eyed, and saying something like "you can't believe what I saw". She also confirmed with me that he told her, at the time, there were three passengers and described them to her. He evidently loaded up the plane with the debris. He also described to her, the metallic substance, and the beams. She said he was top secret clearance, and one of the top XXXXs. She believes that he may of been in charge of the XXXXXX at the time.

I first noticed the object because it was so bright. I first thought it might be a helicopter or a firework. I saw a helicopter to the south and could readily see the difference. I had a CD playing and my windows were closed so I didn't hear anything. It had been sprinkling a little too. I thought okay if this is a firework it is going to descend or make a sound or something, but nothing happened. It just stayed there and glowed very bright orange-red. I thought about phoning my sister who was in the house but I didn't want to take my eyes off of the light so I didn't. I walked up the driveway and the light just diminished and finally vanished without a sound from where I was. I couldn't tell if it ascended and disappeared or disappeared where it was hovering. It disappeared into a tiny dot to nothing. The whole thing lasted no more than 3 minutes. I came in the house and told my sister I had just seen a UFO. It was a UFO to me. I've never seen a helicopter shine orange-red and without flashing lights like the helicopter I saw in the sky at the same time to the south, nor have I seen one be silent. From what I could tell it seemed to pulsate some but stayed bright orange-red. Thank you for being here so I could report this! It didn't upset me, but I will remain puzzled by what I saw.

According to Pope his boss, the Head of his Division, took his copy of the photo down and locked it in a drawer as he didn't feel this should be on display.

She realized she could only see it through the camera screen on the phone."

A Canadian business jet pilot approaching Springbank Airport just west of Calgary reported watching a cigar-shaped UFO flying low to the ground, according to testimony in Case 62198 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The pilot was approaching the airport about mid morning on December 17, 2014, when the object was first noticed.
"Approaching from the north, I was approximately 10 miles north of Cochrane flying parallel to and a couple miles west of Highway 22 and descending through 8,500-feet above sea level or about 4,500 -feet above the ground," the witness stated. "It was a bright, sunny morning and I was just looking at the scenery when I spotted a black object along the highway, maybe two miles ahead of me that was moving fast northbound, towards me."
The pilot first thought the object was a fast car and decided to time it to see how fast it was moving.
"After looking at it for a few seconds, I thought I would time it along the section lines on the ground and calculate a speed of this very fast car. Within a few seconds I realized that what I thought was going to be a Corvette, in fact, was a flat black colored, tubular object that was flying low level over the highway. It was cigar-shaped and not flying with the end of the cigar pointing forward but perpendicular with the long edge in the direction of flight."
The pilot was actually getting closer to the object.
"As I was flying south at some 230 knots and the object was coming towards me, the whole encounter happened fast, but fortunately I was getting closer and could get a better look at the craft."
The pilot got a good look at the object.
"As I came above the object, it was wider than the road and difficult to estimate the height, but probably within a couple hundred feet of the ground."
The pilot was approaching Calgary and was approximately 10 miles north of Cochrane flying parallel to and a couple miles west of Highway 22

The pilot was then surprised to see the object disappear.
"Then maybe stranger than actually seeing this object, as it was nearest my position directly off my left wingtip, it vanished within one-half a second. It quickly turned translucent where I could see a blurred image of the field and road through it while it had a darker edge along the outline of the craft. The object very quickly appeared clearer and within a fraction of a second it disappeared from view."
The pilot scanned the ground area trying to locate the object again.
"I had no idea what I had seen and scanned the area around the track the object was flying, thinking maybe it was the top of a wing of a pipeline patrol aircraft that I had seen, and that maybe the aircraft banked and I lost sight of it. Scanning the area it never reappeared."
The pilot then used instrumentation to locate other aircraft in his area.
"I looked at the TCAS (traffic collision avoidance system) display in the cockpit that shows all the aircraft that are being interrogated by ATC radar in the area. And although there were many other aircraft to the south and west, there was nothing on the display near me."
The pilot attempted to judge the size of the object.
"Looking back towards where I last saw the object, I noticed cars on the road heading south and this helped judge the size and speed of the object compared to a 'known ground based object.' The cars were both much smaller and slower than the object and were within a mile of it when it disappeared. The drivers may have seen the same phenomena. I estimate the object as between 50 -80 feet in length and 15-20 feet wide."

The pilot also tried to estimate the object's speed.
"It moved on a steady track and at a constant speed. I mentally timed it at crossing a half-mile in under 12 seconds or around 160 mph, a speed not particularly fast for a small airplane, but faster than what patrol aircraft use when flying low level."
He described the object.
"There were no discernible markings, windows, lights, or other features. Just a flat black, rectangular cigar-shaped object. The entire encounter was at the most 30 seconds long as the closing speed on the object was in the neighborhood of 400 mph."
There were no other witnesses aboard the pilot's aircraft.
"There were several passengers on the aircraft, but they were concentrating on a conversation in the aircraft. I doubt anyone saw the object and I didn't ask as I enjoy my job. Likewise, as the object never showed on my TCAS, there wasn't much point in asking ATC if they noticed anything. Besides it had disappeared at that point."
The pilot compared the sighting to other experiences.
"On a side note, as a pilot with 30 years of experience, I have seen sights and objects which I could always dismiss as meteors, cloud formations, atmospheric phenomena such as inversions, other aircraft, satellites, etc. Even if this object had kept its track, I may have been passed off as some type of UAV, however, as I witnessed from a relatively close range the disappearance of the object, I have no doubt it was something that is either cutting edge top secret military tech or something that I have no explanation of."

A Canadian witness at Wyoming, Ontario, reported watching "an extremely long, silver, cigar-shaped" UFO about 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2014, according to testimony in Case 62224 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside in the backyard with a dog when the object was first noticed.
"It was definitely not a blimp," the witness stated. "Too thin; longer than a Boeing 767-300; no lower 'navigation basket/viewing' area; extremely long, thin, cigar shape. No wings; no tail section; no sound and maintained level altitude and moderately slow speed."
The witness described the object's direction.
"Headed towards Sarnia, Ontario, but when it went into a white cloud, it did not come out of the other side of the cloud. It was silver and the sunlight reflected off of it."
The witness watched as the cigar-shaped object moved into a cloud, but did not come out the other side about 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2014.

SEPTEMBER 13TH, I FILMED ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING UFO SIGHTINGS OF MY LIFE. I WAS LOOKING TROUGH A WINDOW IN A RESTAURANT IN SURESNES, WHEN I SAW A STRANGE LONG SILVER OBJECT CROSSING THE SKY REALLY SLOWLY. I THOUGHT IT WAS A ZEPPELIN, BUT WHEN I WATCHED THE VIDEO AND ZOOMED, I UNDERSTOOD IT WAS NOT. A REALLY CLEAR SAUCER-SHAPE, NO ANY WINGS IN THE BACK OF IT, NO PROPELLER. A SYMMETRIC DISC-SHAPE.
Later, I noticed two strange lights following it, they were probably escorting it, maybe two other UFOs or even the air force?
I didn't have my camcorder with me, I was in a restaurant, but fortunately I could film it, and in HD. :-)

I watched the Monsterquest episodes when they put the Patterson film to computer analysis in an attempt to prove it, or debunk it. They had some athlete guy try to mimic the motions of the sasquatch on the film. They claimed he could not do it. That seems kind of strange. Is not walking, just walking? This image of how easy that would have been came from a six year old book!
I have only been around the bigfoot world for a little over a year. What I have found out is there is no governing body. Unlike the UFO people with MUFON, that train researchers to do investigations, nothing like this exist in the bigfoot community, and that I believe is at the heart of the problem, and leads to the perpetuation of the bigbfoot folklore and not the advancement of science.
There are only factions that are trying to put their work out as the purist, or most scientific all the while not really finding much evidence. And they seem to be very jealous of all others. The biggest group is a very closed society called BFRO. They do not except members, and do everything in secret yet wanting people for some reason to think they are best at this.
Considering how long they have been around, why did it take an independent researcher to uncover some interesting stuff. Greg Long, in his book - The Making Of Bigfoot - The Inside Stroy analysis the whole episode leading up to the Patterson/Gimlin film. The work is very extensive and complex. It puts together a story of lies and deceit and an attempt by a shady dude (patterson) to get a big payday. What I find interesting is the Patterson film itself.
Supporters of the film say that no human could reproduce the gait of the animal. Is that so? Bob Heironimus (shown in the photo above) claims he was the one wearing the suit that day Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlim faked the film. This photo shows that when put to scale, the creature was a little over six feet and the same height as Heirominus. Very strange that BFRO does not have this on their website.
