I have wondered what I had seen back in the early part of the this year. I had chalked it up as a weird experience but now that all this stuff is coming out about these so called UFO's in Texas it really makes me wonder.
I live in Pearland TX just on the out skirts of Houston TX. My family and I were sitting in the living area chatting about whatever was on tv that night when I notice a really bright light in the sky through my foyer window. The look on my face scared my wife to death cause she believes in all this stuff.
The light was bright blue but the only difference was the center of this light was so crisp. It came in from the west and just dropped at a regular speed. I was thinking someone had thrown a ball up or something but after stepping outside I realized it would had to have been several hundred feet in the air for me to see it from my foyer window.
Maybe someone else saw the same thing and could give me a better idea of what I saw. It's been several months since I saw this thing I have never seen anything like it in my 32 yrs. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it and for the record I'm no UFO believer I just know this was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

"BRIAN VIKE'S NOTE:" I have better pictures of this, so I am looking for them as I just came across them the other night, should have grabbed them at that time, but didn't.
I wrote to many places years back trying to figure out if I could find an answer for this, but I am not 100% what some individuals said. I believe one Blimp company "thought" it to be a blimp, but could not verify this. Also of people were stumped over the object in the picture.
On better photos, you can see something that appears to be a lightening bolt shooting out from the front of the object.
Any, I will look the pictures up for sure and post them with this report. So I won't post anything else until I get the pictures to this report.
Hi Brian. It was some 30 years ago that this happened. As I was walking into my home in Bremerton, Washington when I saw those strange objects in the sky, it was hovering almost right above me.
It was in a northerly direction and a little to the west from where I stood. I ran inside and got my camera and took these 2 pictures.
I'm an 83 year old lady now and when I heard of Art Bells interest in UFOs and I thought he might like to see them. Had to look them up in all my pictures and I was surprised again to see how strange they looked.
After they were posted, I got e-mail that said they were everything from a Goodyear blimp, some testing a flying car and a Navy Drone.
Someone actually said it was a UFO. Wish I had put the date on the pictures, but too late for that.
My daughter will attach the photos as I have just gotten this lap top computer and I have to type with one finger, so I have a lot to learn.

Nick Redfern here takes us on a reprise of the world of the contactees. The people, mainly in the early days of ufology, who claimed to have had contact with nice long-haired, blond Ayrian Venusians who told us to be nice and stop making atom bombs and having wars. Their message was taken straight out of the film "The Day the Earth Stood Still", omitting the threatening robot Gort. From the perspective of the 21st century their tales seem incredibly naive, and it is difficult to believe how many people who weren't altogether stupid or ill-educated came to believe them.
Redfern concentrates on some of the well known figures of this period, such as George Adamski, Truman Bethurum, George Van Tassel, Howard Menger, etc. There are some lesser known characters such as Dana Howard, or Ralph Lael who had stood as a candidate for Henry Wallace's Progressive Party in North Carolina in 1948, and in the 1950s claimed contact with the intelligences behind the Brown Mountain Lights. I was also surprised to see that an author I had seen in bibliographies, Margit Mustapha, was allegedly a real person, a Finnish singer. I had always assumed the name had been Mustapha Margit and was a joke, actually spelling 'Must Have a Market'! (Obviously it "is" possible to be too cynical)
British readers will be sorry to see that well known British contactees such as Jim Cooke, Arthur Shuttlewood, Philip Rogers, etc., are not included. I would have thought that Shuttlewood would have appealed to Redfern's rather conspiratorial agenda, as there is at least an outside possibility that his contacts were staged by the Moonies. There is, of course, no mention of the fictitious 'Cedric Allingham', played by a guy called Davies to a script written by Patrick Moore!
Perhaps the British contactees are omitted because they don't have FBI files, whereas Adamski and some other American contactees did. In Adamski's case it would seem that having lost his first love, Hitler, he turned to Stalin as second best. His side kick Williamson (who later claimed to be the heir to the throne of Serbia) stayed with his old Nazi friend William Dudley Pelley right to the end.
Reading these tales, there are a number of reasonable possibilities. They are all clearly the work of the human imagination (or perhaps lack of same), and the only question that remains is whether they came from the spontaneous imagination of dreams, hypnogogic and other visionary experiences; or from the crafted imagination, and in the latter case whether the contactees wanted a powerful imperative for their own religious and political views, or were in it mainly for the money.
Redfern does note these possibilities, but prefers to invoke all sorts of complicated, baroque explanations, ranging from mind control experiments by secret government agencies, Mac Tonnies crypto-terrestrials' (ie up-market Deros) or intelligent plasmas. As Redfern seems to act as a lightening rod for a sizeable proportion of the International Union of Fantasists, Bullshitters and Allied Liars, there are the usual whistle blowers of negligible credibility to back up some of these claims.

Unlike any other whistle blowers, those who have come forward on this subject have a hell of a time proving they are telling the truth No matter what credentials ufology whistle blowers have on board --or, as in June Crain's case, regardless of the tremendous fortitude of character demonstrated throughout an individual's life-- few individuals can survive the character assassination of the professional debunkers. No amount of circumstantial testimony warrants a serious look at the kind of blatant, carefully coordinated attacks the whistle blowers of ufology have been subjected to.
The only thing these attacks and character assassinations are really good for, is recording the history of methodology professional debunkers and their shadowy sponsors have been using the last three-quarters of a century to delay discovery.
