PHOTO CAPTION GALILEO
December 1, 1992 P-41383
TOP GLL/GA6
This montage of 11 images taken by the Galileo spacecraft as
it flew by the asteroid Gaspra on October 29, 1991, shows Gaspra
growing progressively larger in the field of view of Galileo's
solid-state imaging camera as the spacecraft approached the
asteroid. Sunlight is coming from the right. Gaspra is roughly
17 kilometers (10 miles) long, 10 kilometers (6 miles) wide.
The earliest view (upper left) was taken 5 3/4 hours before
closest approach when the spacecraft was 164,000 kilometers
(102,000 miles) from Gaspra, the last (lower right)at a range of
16,000 kilometers (10,000 miles), 30 minutes before closest
approach.
Gaspra spins once in roughly 7 hours, so these images
capture almost one full rotation of the asteroid. Gaspra spins
counterclockwise; its north pole is to the upper left, and the
"nose" which points upward in the first image, is seen rotating
back into shadow, emerging at lower left, and rotating to upper
right. Several craters are visible on the newly seen sides of
Gaspra, but none approaches the scale of the asteroid's radius.
Evidently, Gaspra lacks the large craters common on the surfaces
of many planetary satellites, consistent with Gaspra's
comparatively recent origin from the collisional breakup of a
larger body.
The Galileo project, whose primary mission is the
exploration of the Jupiter system in 1995-97, is managed for
NASA's Office of Space Science and Applications by the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory.

UFO SIGHTING IN REDDING, CALIFORNIA ON SEPTEMBER 7TH 2013 - RED AND WHITE LIGHT FLYING A CONTINUOS, REPEATED, SQUARE GRID PATTERN AT 3 MINUTE INTERVALS FOR OVER AN 1.25 HOURS. NO NAVIGATION LIGHTS BLINKING.
Need some help here. Last night my wife and I watched/observed an object fly over a far northern california small city/town for more than an hour starting at 9 p.m. It possessed a red light and a white light (side by side) and no flashing navigation lights that are required on all aircraft. The strange part is that this object flew in a grid pattern; more like a box pattern what seemed to cover many many miles per side with each turn being quite abrupt. Each cycle took 3 minutes and a few seconds and each time the pattern was more offset from the original. It was high altitude and continued more than the hour as we sat and watched. She got up at 2 a.m. and it was no longer flying. Drone? UFO? I managed to zoom in and take a shot. It's just a small red dot in the sky.

This very sharp and white ceramic-like structure is in a book of old moon photos. The book only talks about the moon, but there are alien structures in it that go unnoticed. This is another tool I often use to help expose the truth...the use of old books that have NASA photos in them. These are often photos that have not been edited so we get to see the real surface of the moon and not what NASA wants us to see. NASA uses photo editing tools to edit their photos and delete, blur or deliberately cover up with shadow anything that could be used as evidence of alien
Being a UFO researcher, you have to use everything available to prove that NASA is lying to the public, but NASA makes it easy for us by leaving themselves exposed with their earlier photos of decades ago. It was a book that got me started looking for these structures...38 years ago when I found the face at Cydonia.
Please I beg of you to got to your local libraries and search out those earlier books with NASA Mars and Moon photos in them. I promise you if you do you will discover the truth all by yourself. Take photos of them with your cell phone, email the photos to yourself, then post them on your site. I did. Its that easy. There are so man moon and Mars books out there from 1970-1990s. Please utilize these tools in our fight for the truth. Scott C. Waring

MAN CLAIMS TO KNOW SOURCE OF "PHOENIX LIGHTS" UFO SIGHTING
By Chris Kline
abc15.com
7-10-08
An astrophysicist claims to know the true source of a strange grouping of lights that appeared in the Arizona night sky 11 years ago.
Dr. James R. Bartzen said he has indisputable proof that the so-called "Phoenix Lights" were a product of secret man-made technology being shielded from the public.
He works at the Russian-American Institute of Space Science.
"There are no theories, there is only evidence," Bartzen told ABC15. "The government desires people to believe in space aliens so they don't have to reveal the technologies that both we and the Russians have."
Bartzen said he has been involved with the space agencies in both the U.S. and Russia for decades, and that his involvement led him to learn what these vehicles in the sky were, man-made spacecrafts.
"The evidence was never disclosed," he said.
However, now that the space agencies of the world are joining together in space travel, he said that evidence can be released.
Bartzen plans to detail his argument and share his proof on Saturday, July 19th in Sedona. For more information, click here.
The 'Phoenix Lights' of different descriptions were seen on the night of March 13th, 1997.
Some said they saw a triangular formation pass over their homes. Others saw a series of stationary lights in a long line.
The United States Air Force later identified the lights as flares from the Barry Goldwater Range, but many continue to believe differently.

UFOS IN THE 1980S"By Rupert Matthews"
Back in the mid-1980s the world of UFOlogy was becoming dominated by two quite different facets of the phenomenon. Of the two the more mainstream were the abduction events that were beginning to be reported by an increasing number and range of people. The other phenomenon was popular with the media and general public, but less well favoured by serious UFO researchers: crop circles. Of the two, crop circles dominated the media - probably because of the impressive photos that could be printed in newspapers on slow news days to fill a half page at low cost.
Meanwhile, some researchers were beginning to suspect that some incidents that were reported by the witness as being an alien abduction were, in fact, psychological in origin. Researcher Margaret Fry in the UK produced a number of cases in which a witness reported being abducted and undergoing the usual types of experiences, while others reported that the person supposedly being abducted was, in fact, fast asleep or in once case being operated on under anaesthetic in a hospital.
At the time there was a huge amount of controversy over these cases. Some held that they disproved the entire alien abduction hypothesis and proved that those reporting abductions were simply hallucinating. Others sought to debunk the cases in order to prove the witnesses were lying or that the researchers had fabricated evidence.
Back in 1986 it does not seem to have occurred to anyone that those witnesses reporting abductions while quite clearly not being abducted were dreaming or hallucinating, but that this did not of itself disprove that alien abductions really did happen. It is well know that people often hallucinate that they are taking part in historic events, scenes from movies and the like. Perhaps the people in question had read about an abduction, and then hallucinated about it later on.
In hindsight the spat seems to have been a case of "sound and fury, signifying nothing".
Equally pointless in hindsight were the press stories that sought to link the tragic crash of the Space Shuttle Challenger to a sighting of a UFO many miles away at the time of the crash. The two were obviously unrelated, and the link seems to have been invented by a journalist looking to boost sales of his newspaper. Sadly it served merely to undermine the credibility of UFO sightings in the minds of some members of the public.
The next year saw the damage to credibility repaired somewhat. The major US soap opera "The Colbys" featured a story line in which the character Fallon reported being the victim of an alien abduction. The story line had a few features that dramatised the events for a TV audience, but generally followed the sort of events that real witnesses had reported and did much to bring the idea of alien abductions to a wider audience in a sympathetic way.
That same year Whitley Strieber published his book "Communion "to rave reviews. The book retold what Strieber said were a prolonged series of encounters with a humanoid life form that physically resembled a "grey" alien. The book sold in vast numbers and was an international best seller.
"The Colbys" TV series and Whitley book launched the abduction phenomenon into the mass media. Suddenly the television, magazine and newspaper world could not get enough abduction stories. Many researchers took to hypnotic regression of witnesses in an effort to get more details and more coherent versions of events. Sadly some researchers had little or no training in hypnotic treatments and made some key errors of technique that would later discredit their findings. Nevertheless UFOlogy in the later 1980s became dominated by abduction stories obtained largely by hypnotic regression. It seemed that the answer to the entire UFO riddle might finally be within grasp of researchers.
The search for new, better and more dramatic abduction cases became increasingly frantic through 1988 and 1989. Publication followed publication as new reports cascaded out and researchers sought to find a pattern to the abductions and the apparently medical examinations and experiments conducted during them.
Thus far, the researchers had been concentrating on the UFOs and their occupants. But in 1989 a man named Bob Lazar came forward to claim that he had spent some time working at the highly secretive American military research base known as "Area 51". He claimed that the US military were in touch with aliens - which matched the general description of "greys" - and were in the process of reverse engineering alien technology. The claims reignited ideas of a conspiracy between the aliens and certain human organisations (usually the US government in some form) which had lain dormant for more than a decade.
The new wave of conspiracy speculation would soon combine with studies of alien abductions to produce new ideas and theories that would dominate research in the 1990s.

Birmingham UFO Group ReportOriginally forwarded by Richard HallAuthor: Dave HodrienRelease Date: 22/04/2011John (name changed for privacy reasons) has had two fascinating UFO sightings, both of which took place in the 1970's. His first encounter was with five disc-shaped UFOs, and was seen by both him and many other witnesses. This experience fits in with an incident involving a formation of UFOs that was seen at various places around England in the summer of 1974. I have spoken to two other witnesses who are also part of this event. I have included John's testimony in the report on this incident, which can be read here.John's second experience occurred several years later, and it is this sighting that this report focuses on. It is every bit as unusual and impressive as the first. Unfortunately John has so far not got back to me with additional information, so I only have his initial notes to go on.SIGHTING DETAILSThe incident occurred in 1976 or 77. If it really occurred three years after the first incident, then this would make it 1977, and John would have been around 14 years old at the time. He was sitting at the bottom of the street on which he lived in Aigburth, Liverpool, chatting with a friend. They suddenly noticed a large glowing red ball of light travelling along above the Mersey river. As they watched it raised up and then settled in the area known as the Cast Iron Shore. When it did this, it lit up the whole area in a red glow. John and his friend stood up and walked down to the bottom road. There they found that there were other neighbours outside on the street also watching the object."Aerial view of Aigburth, the location of the area known as Cast Iron Shore:"About a minute went by, with the object remaining stationary. Then suddenly it shot straight upwards at a stunning speed and was lost from sight! Soon afterwards John remembers that the incident was mentioned on the local radio, and also was mentioned in the Liverpool Echo newspaper.SIGHTING ANALYSISThis is a fascinating multiple witness sighting. Red glowing UFOs are not often seen and are quite unusual. The manoeuvres the object performed indicate that it was under intelligent control. They also mean that it cannot have had a mundane explanation such as a lit inflatable or model. Even a more unusual explanation such as an earth light does not really fit with what took place - these rarely appear over cities or water, and do not suddenly rise straight upwards at great speed. The fact it was seen by multiple individuals, and afterwards appeared in the newspaper and on the radio means that it could not have just been the boy's imagination, it clearly took place and was really present.I am currently attempting to track down the newspaper article that John mentioned. As the exact date is not really known this is proving to be quite challenging. If I manage to get hold of it I will add it to this report."Copyright Dave Hodrien 2011"
