The criptid CHUPACABRA (chupar "meaning to suck" and cabra "goat") has got to be one of the most eerie legends as far as the paranormal goes. Read about the true accounts.
There have been many sightings and evidence of the chupacabra, especially in Puerto Rico where livestock have been killed and literally drained of blood.
The chupacabra has been described as being a heavy creature which has a row of spines on its back that end at the base of the tail.
The first official report happened in 1995 at a town in Puerto Rico when eight sheep were found slaughtered. The next attack happened in Can'ovanas, Puerto Rico, when as many as over 150 farm animals and pets were killed. Even the mayor got involved and most Sundays since then, people from the town go in search of the chupacabra with the mayor, scouring the countryside in search of this deadly and fearsome creature.
