Whatever Happened To The Roswell Slides

Whatever Happened To The Roswell Slides
With all that controversy and brouhaha surrounding the mysterious public reveal of the fatal Roswell Slides, our readers must be wondering: whatever happened? Did the slides turn out to be some real, hard-core evidence? Or is it just another case of twentieth century fabrication? Well the answer is: no to both. Read on to know what really happened to the Roswell Slides.

There has been a lot of commentary and speculation as to what the Roswell Slides might reveal. Some even said that the content of the Roswell Slides will be definite proof of extra-terrestrial intelligence, that it'll confirm for sure that the government has been working in cooperation with extra-terrestrial beings since a long, long time. However, unlike others, I for one never really believed that the Roswell Slides would reveal anything definitive or "for sure". That is because when something is subjected to this amount of controversy even prior to its revelation, it is only wise to surmise that its revelation will lead io nothing else but further controversy, debate and speculation. Not a surprise, the Roswell Slides have delivered to my expectations.

Before moving on to the real deal, we'll observe and analyze a few probable claims and arguments made by prominent Ufologists prior to the great revelation (after all, what's better than turning up the suspense, eh?).

Just a heads up before we begin: you can grab up a cup of coffee and a few donuts from the kitchen, so that you can "enjoy the show"!

What some say represents stunning visual evidence of a humanoid creature that was found crashed near Roswell, NM in 1947 will soon to be released in an international livestream event. Referred to by some as "the Roswell Slides," the Kodachrome images have now been authenticated by expert scientists and their provenance has been confirmed. During that long process many have speculated about precisely what these pictures show. People will now be able to see for themselves with the public reveal of the slides on May 5th 2015.

This comes from Anthony Bragalia, the Ufologists who has been recently known as the "dream team"-er of the Roswell Slides. He goes ahead to state that the Slides have been "authenticated" and "confirmed" by experts, he also says that said evidence is "stunning visual evidence". Sadly, Bragalia's open claim was soon met with a lot of vigour, even before the Slides were revealed on March 5th.

"Like I said, I actually feel sorry for Bragalia. He might be an unpleasant, borderline psychotic true believer, but I don't think he's part of the con. He just happens to be a patsy - the Lee Harvey Oswald, as it were. Just like Friedman was with MJ-12. And you can quote me on that."

This is from Paul Kimball, director, TV producer and author of several books on Ufology. Hold it right there, the game's just began. In the meantime, Rich Reynolds did a damn good job summing up the entire thing between Paul and Tony (Bragalia):

A little harsh maybe but that's between Tony and Paul; it's an invigorating back-and-forth, full of the ufological vituperation with which we are all familiar.

Reynolds has remained fairly neutral in all this, rejecting the possibility of both a legitimate proof and an outright hoax. Meanwhile, another group of Ufologists, including my favourite Nick Redfern, had their emails hacked in connection to the incident.

"The 'hacking' thing involved Tony Bragalia, Rich Reynolds, Nick Redfern and myself", said Ross Evans, a commenter of the blog "UFO Conjectures" by Rich Reynolds. Apparently, Ross didn't have any direct reason for being hacked. Instead, he became a victim simply due to his past email interactions with Reynolds over an article on his blog. Ross Evans seems to have been fully aware of the mystery hacker who dared peak into their email accounts:

"Based on the resources required to do what I think they were doing; intercepting our comms as opposed to just 'hacking' and just the way things transpired I'm of the opinion this was a three letter agency. The party responsible for compromising the emails was obviously interested in the slides, and generally caused disruption."

While we're yet left to speculate on what this three-letter agency may be, there was the monumental reveal of the Roswell Slides themselves, as scheduled, on March 5th. See for yourself:

PRESENTING THE ROSWELL SLIDES:

A sneak-peak at the Roswell Slides

The moment I set my eyes on it, it made me wanna go: "Really? That? That is what got all these grown up men fighting for their lives?" From where I stand, this seems to just add to the list of all those blurry, pixellated images of alleged supernatural creatures. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that it is not an interesting piece of evidence. It is in fact, very interesting. I am all in favour of pursuing additional research on the matter. I'd love to see what the photography experts have to say, and even the Ufologists. But, just from my point of view, and you are free to disagree with it, it seems that the amount of hype and publicity given to it is excessive, perhaps a little unnecessary.

To me, the Roswell Incident has always been a subject of awe and suspense. Sadly, the "monumental" reveal of the slides does not change that. It is, and will be, a subject of mystery and speculation.

It is in regard of this matter that something Nick Redfern said over at Mysterious Universe, caught my attention. He said that the picture may represent a child mummy, possibly on display in a glass case. He has provided some interesting arguments, too. He says that if we're to believe that the creature shown in the image is indeed an alien creature, the first reaction from the authorities will be to place the corpse under extensive care and preservation, possibly on ice, instead of displaying it as an object on display in a glass case. He also brings some important other points to attention, along with the timelines and how they coincide with an epidemic plague in the Roswell area. You may read his full article here.

Of course, whether the body shown is a mummified child or an alien body, is subjected to debate and speculation. Sadly, that's exactly the point. The Roswell Slides do not confirm or deny anything for sure, they just add to the amount of controversy and debate that already surrounds the incident at Roswell in 1947.

What do you think of the Roswell Slides? Let me know in your comments.
